For long time photographer, Sammy Anderson, adapting to the digital curve has taken his business in a whole new direction.
Founded back in 1991, Anderson Photography is celebrating their 2oth Anniversary in North Augusta. As a former Media Specialist at University Hospital, Mr. Anderson went full-time with his photography in 1996 working from home and photographing mostly weddings, families, children, and child care centers.
In 2003 the digital age of photography made cameras more affordable and user friendly, causing everyone to be a self-made photographer.
Realizing the need to target a niche market, Anderson began to focus his business in a different direction by establishing a commercial client base and offering head shots, building exteriors/interiors, product shots, signage, landscapes, menu and catalog images. His work has included a Christian based lifestyle cookbook entitled, “Come to the Table: Food, Fellowship, and a Celebration of God’s Bounty” which was published in 2008. To date, the book has sold over 125,000 copies and is distributed throughout the country with Cracker Barrel Foods, Borders Books, Cosco, Amazon.com, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Kroger Company, and other select businesses. Anderson is currently photographing the follow up edition of the book.

Construction is underway for a stand alone Mi Rancho’s in the Publix Shopping Center in Evans at the entrance of the Riverwood Plantation on Washington Road. Mi Rancho’s decided it was a better fit in Evans than the Eagle Point Plaza. They expanded to that center a year ago and now have their business up for sale. A new tenant could take over the lease and have all of the new restaurant equipment and furniture for $75,000.
Mi Rancho’s currently operates 9 locations in the CSRA. They are the biggest booster of area high schools, often feeding players for free before or after games.
