Today’s Buzz: Summerville Tour of Homes Post

The Summerville Neighborhood Association Tour of Homes Post is the direct mail magazine that goes out to over 6,000 homes and businesses in the Summerville Neighborhood; Augusta’s most historic and affluent neighborhood.

This Post is the widest read, because of it’s information about the tour and the architectural descriptions of the homes that will be on tour.  Also, this year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Partridge Inn and will be tying that into the tour of homes.  The P.I is holding it’s celebration later in October and those who attend the tour of homes receive an extra drink ticket at the P.I event.

Ads range from $125 – $1,250 for the back cover (yes it is available). They also have one Home Sponsor spot left ($500) and Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsorships.

Today’s Buzz: Note From The Mayor

SOURCE MAYOR COPENHAVER’S OFFICE:

This week, the overall strength of our local economy received two more national recognitions.  On Wednesday, the Brookings Institute Metro Monitor ranked the Augusta Metro area as having the 11th strongest performing economiy in the nation for the second quarter of 2010.  The ranking led to CNNMoney.com once again placing us on their “20 Most Recession  Proof Cities” list later that same day.  As our nation continues to struggle through the current recession, its rankings such as these that make me realize how blessed we are as a city as well as giving me great confidence in our city’s future.
